Title
Cynthia is a writer, speaker, and food historian. She has pursued her love of culture, history, and food in thirty-seven countries on six continents but has in recent years increasingly focused on the American Midwest. Her newest book is Destination Heartland: A Guide to Discovering the Midwest’s Remarkable Past (U of IL Press, May 2022). She is a member of the Culinary Historians of Chicago, Society of Women Geographers, Agricultural History Society, and Midwestern History Association.
